Leads almost always fail at the clip. A cast metal trigger clip outlasts a stamped one by years and costs very little more.
A crate is a bedroom, not a punishment
Used properly it is the thing that makes a nervous dog settle and makes house training quick. Used as a place a dog is sent when it is in trouble, it stops working entirely.
Muzzle training before you need it
