Which areas do you cover?+
Four Lagos territories. Lekki and Victoria Island covers Lekki Phase 1, Ikoyi, VI, Oniru, Ikate, Osapa and Ajah. Yaba and Surulere covers Yaba, Surulere, Sabo, Alagomeji, Onike, Palmgrove, Ilupeju, Gbagada, Akoka, Bariga, Somolu, Ebute Metta, Festac and Apapa. Ikeja covers Ikeja, Opebi, Allen, Adeniyi Jones, Maryland, Ikeja GRA, Ogba, Magodo, ACME, Oregun, Ojodu, Agege and Omole. Alimosho covers Egbeda, Alimosho, Ipaja, Idimu, Gowon Estate, Ayobo, Ikotun, Isheri-Oshun and Anthony. We visit all four Monday to Saturday. If your address sits just outside one of them, message us before you book and we will tell you honestly whether we can reach you.
What does the home visit fee cover?+
The ₦20,000 home visit fee is charged once per address, per visit, and it covers every pet in that home. One dog or four cats, the fee is the same. What is priced per pet is the care itself: each vaccine, deworming, grooming session or test is charged for the animal that receives it. The booking wizard shows you every line before you confirm anything.
Can I pick the exact time of my appointment?+
Yes. You choose an exact appointment time between 11am and 3pm, Monday to Saturday, rather than a vague window, and we plan our routes around the times our clients pick. We do not visit on Sundays. You get a message when the vet is on the way.
Can I use my Skeepy Pet HMO plan with Nexara?+
Yes, Skeepy Pet HMO is accepted here. If your dog or cat is covered by a Skeepy plan, eligible care with us can be settled under it, so have your HMO ID ready when you book. Skeepy members also get 5% off everything in our Pet Shop. If you would like cover for your pet, you can get a plan at www.skeepy.co.
Which animals do you care for?+
Dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and horses. We do not treat reptiles. If you are unsure about your animal, ask us, and our vets will tell you honestly what we can handle at home and what needs a specialist facility.
How much are vaccines?+
Each vaccine is priced on its own, per pet, so you always know what you are paying for. Anti-rabies is ₦12,000, the DHLPP 5-in-1 for dogs is ₦20,000 a shot, and the FVRCP 3-in-1 for cats is ₦20,000 a shot. Every dose travels on a logged cold chain and the record card is updated at your door.
Do you treat emergencies at home?+
No. An emergency needs a clinic, quickly. We handle routine and planned care at home, and when something serious shows up during a visit we arrange the referral immediately, with the clinic already expecting you and your records already sent.
What about surgery or serious treatment?+
Surgeries and advanced treatment happen at partner clinics. We arrange the referral for you, send your pet's full records ahead, and follow up afterwards.
Is the vet actually licensed?+
Yes. Every Nexara visit is carried out by a VCN-licensed veterinarian, and every pet gets a written care note afterwards, with full clinical records kept in your My Nexara account.
What is the difference between a bundle and a care plan?+
A bundle is one prepaid visit with several services in it, and the home visit fee is waived. A care plan is a monthly subscription that keeps your pet on schedule all year. If neither fits, build your own bundle: choose the services you want and how often you want them, and you will see what it costs per month before you commit.
How does Pet Shop delivery work?+
Orders ride free with your booked home visit, packed for your pet by name. Standalone delivery across Lagos is ₦3,500, and that is waived the moment you attach the order to a visit. Skeepy Pet HMO members get 5% off the items themselves.
What comes with a pet sourced through Nexara?+
Every pet we offer is examined by a Nexara vet first, with its vaccination status stated plainly and its records handed over. Its first home check-up is arranged with us, and your new pet also comes with one month of Skeepy Pet HMO cover on us, so its first weeks at home are protected.
