Grooming where your pet is not frightened.
A grooming salon means a car journey, a cage and a wait among strange animals, and for a lot of pets that is the worst part of the day by far. Doing it at home removes all three, and the difference in how the animal behaves is not small.

What the appointment actually involves.
Bath and full brush-out
Shampoo chosen for the coat and skin in front of us, not one bottle for everything.
Ears cleaned
Checked as well as cleaned. Ear infections are found at grooming more often than at any other appointment.
Nails trimmed
Taken back carefully, with the quick located first. An overgrown nail changes how a dog stands and eventually how it walks.
Skin check as we go
Lumps, hot spots, ticks and thinning coat get noticed and written down, because our groomers work for a veterinary practice and not a salon.
No cage, no waiting
Your pet is never crated and never left. It is done and we leave.
Before we come
- Decide where it will happen and clear it: a bathroom, a back porch, a shaded part of the yard.
- Tell us honestly if your pet has bitten or panicked at grooming before. It changes how we start, and it is not a reason to turn you away.
- Badly matted coat may have to come off short rather than be brushed out. Cutting through a tight mat is painful and we will not do it.
Afterwards
- Anything we find on the skin goes in a note to you, and the vet side of the practice can pick it up without a separate consultation fee if it is the same visit.
- Most coats need this every four to eight weeks. We will tell you which yours is rather than sell you a schedule.
Pet health cover applies
Settled through Skeepy Pet HMO on the Pawtastic, Cublings, Furrtastic, Purrfect, Infinity plans, for dogs and cats. Give us your HMO ID at booking and we check the balance before the vet comes out. No cover yet?

ReadThe three questions we get every time.
Do you groom cats?
Yes, and we take it slowly. Some cats simply will not accept a full groom awake, and where that is true we will tell you and stop rather than fight a cat into a bath. A brush-out, nails and a check is often the honest limit and it is still worth doing.
What if my dog is aggressive with strangers?
Tell us at booking. It changes who we send and how long we allow, and it is far better than us finding out at your gate. Muzzle training, a slower first visit or splitting the job over two appointments are all normal. What we will not do is sedate a dog for cosmetic grooming.
Do you need my water and electricity?
We bring our own equipment and can bring water if yours is not reliable, which in parts of Lagos it is not. Tell us at booking and we plan for it rather than turning up and asking.
