Prescription medicines are dispensed against a diagnosis, not sold off a shelf. If your pet needs them, a consultation gets you the right drug at the right dose, and often finds that the problem was never bacterial in the first place.
My pet is scratching. What can I buy for it?
Nothing, honestly, until somebody knows why. Fleas, mites, food, environmental allergy and yeast all look the same from across a room and are treated completely differently. A wrong steroid cream on a mite infestation makes it considerably worse.
