How we would use this

This is a chew toy for dogs. For occupying a dog that would otherwise occupy itself. Rawhide is the one we see cause the most trouble. It softens into a slab, gets swallowed whole and swells, and it is a regular cause of obstruction. Apply the thumbnail test: if you cannot dent it with a thumbnail, it is hard enough to break teeth. Slab fractures from bones, antlers and hard nylon need extraction.
