How we would use this

This is a bowl for dogs and cats. In daily contact with an animal's mouth, which is what makes the material matter. Raised bowls suit some large or older animals and are not a universal upgrade. If yours eats comfortably at floor level, leave it alone. Many cats dislike their whiskers touching the sides, and a wide shallow bowl is refused far less often than a deep narrow one.
